Alumni who matriculated in 1966 and before were invited to Queens’ College for their 60th reunion.

It was a pleasure to welcome 110 guests for the occasion including some of our oldest alumni.

The joy of renewing friendships, sharing memories and reminiscing on student life was evident throughout the day.

The day began with tea and coffee in the OSCR followed by a talk and Q&A with Development Director Rowan Kitt who shared news about the future of the College and our campaign.

Guests gathered in Old Kitchens for drinks and conversations with friends then assembled in Old Hall for a three-course lunch.

Queens’ President Dame Menna Rawlings delivered a heartfelt speech about Queens’ and the many qualities that make it such a remarkable place. She celebrated the oldest alum in attendance as well as the extraordinary range of achievements seen across the generations.

The afternoon continued with an organ recital by organ scholar Sam Trueman who performed Praeludium in D Major by Buxtehude, Chanty from ‘Plymouth Suite’ by Whitlock and Paean by Leighton.

Attendees also enjoyed a special display of records in the Old Library organised by the College Archivist and Librarian. The exhibition offered a glimpse into student life at Queens’ in 1966 & before featuring photographs, menus and minute books that capture the College’s social and cultural life. A few alumni spotted themselves in the photographs!

We were delighted to welcome so many alumni back to Queens’ and look forward to seeing them again next year.
